Olá!

I'm Guilherme Souza, a curious geek interested in how technology works, math daydreamer and boardgame player. I like understanding the fundamentals and the trade-offs that permeate good software design. I'm a heavy user of Rust 🦀 and Python 🐍, sometimes together.

I started coding when I was a kid (around twelve, I guess, don't remember!), first to create my own little games, then to solve all sorts of problems I wanted. Now I have more than 15 years of experience with software engineering and data science, building performant and resilient systems with code, data and people.

I have already worked in a small-team startup and in a big logistics tech company, where I've built and maintained critical products and teams. You can check more on my profile. Starting in April 2026, I embark on a sabbatical pause to reflect about next steps, but probably something related to Europe's digital sovereignty and open source.
